NOTICE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Summer Fellows Program will continue to be conducted virtually, with an enhanced curriculum of lecture and discussion sessions, followed by small group research projects culminating in a virtual project presentation.

ELIGIBILITY:

All student applicants must meet the following criteria:
  1. Current enrollment in high school in the United States.
  2. Current enrollment as a high school senior graduating in 2021, or a high school junior graduating in 2022.
  3. Demonstrated outstanding general academic achievement with particular focus on science coursework.
  4. Ability to participate in all program activities during the eight-week period (June 14, 2021 through August 6, 2021, generally from 8 AM to 5 PM). College tours/orientations and vacations should be scheduled so as to avoid any conflicts.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

The following materials must be submitted by Monday, March 15, 2021:
  1. 2021 Summer Fellowship Program Student Online Application Form.
  2. Official high school transcript.
  3. Two letters of recommendation from high school teachers, preferably science teachers.

Letters of Recommendation

Attachments

Onsite Training
The 2021 Summer Program is a virtual training program. However, should circumstances change such that the Institute is able to admit a small subset of students for on campus training, please indicate your interest in being considered.
