Programs We Offer

Since 1978, the High School Summer Fellows Program has inspired rising juniors and seniors to explore careers in health sciences and biomedical research as they gain hands-on lab experience alongside TLI investigators and PhD students.

Students work with TLI’s world-class researchers and learn about the methods and goals of scientific research in a biomedical research setting. The program is designed to hone skills such as decision-making, collaboration, and developing new ideas.

PhD Program in Translational Research

In collaboration with Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, TLI will be launching a joint PhD program in late 2025. Students enrolled will have the opportunity to learn and conduct research at The Lundquist Institute and earn an advanced degree in translational research.

More information will be available soon.

Our training offers a dynamic interdisciplinary experience in various research areas. The dual affiliation of The Lundquist Institute and UCLA provides fellows with access to numerous research and training resources from both institutes including state-of-the-art core facilities.
