The Lundquist Institute has helped serve the underserved in its community for more than half a century. Over the years, the Institute has served more than 2 million people, many of whom are among the nearly 20 percent of Los Angeles County residents who live below the poverty level.
The Lundquist Institute’s community health programs address health issues such as malnutrition, immunization, reproductive and maternal health, child abuse and neglect, and substance abuse. The programs are a direct benefit to more than 100,000 women, children and families each year who are at risk of preventable disease or medical neglect.
