Founded in 1952 by visionary physicians determined to find better treatments for their patients, The Lundquist Institute continues to be defined by its unique “bedside to bench to bedside” approach, translating clinical challenges into scientific inquiry, and scientific discoveries back into patient care.
Today, over 150 principal investigators and 400 research staff are driving forward more than 600 active studies and 100+ clinical trials, delivering solutions that are transforming lives. Affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and partnered with Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, The Lundquist Institute leads advancements in areas ranging from cancer biology and infectious diseases, and respiratory medicine to translational genomics.
