Volunteer vs. Intern
Volunteer opportunities at The Lundquist Institute are unpaid and non-credited. Internships are typically connected to a formal program, like our High School Summer Fellows Program, where one can receive credit and a stipend.
How to Apply
If you’re interested in working with an investigator, keep in mind that they’ll all have different requirements. For example, some may require you to volunteer for a term before you can start earning credit for courses.
Therefore, we strongly encourage students to identify an investigator they would like to work with and contact them directly. Consider introducing yourself, sharing your interests, and describing how they align with the investigator’s research objectives.
When you’re ready, submit an interest form using the link below and be sure to note that you’ve made contact with an investigator. If you haven’t, don’t worry! The information provided in your interest form will be used to assess whether there is an opportunity at The Lundquist Institute that aligns with your background.
