Join us for a special lecture by Dr. Polgreen, recipient of the Richard E. Weitzman Investigator Award. This presentation is part of the recognition and celebration of Dr. Polgreen’s scientific impact as honored at our Legends 2025 event.
This talk traces the 25-year journey from the discovery of Aldurazyme, the first enzyme replacement therapy for mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS), to today’s rapidly expanding therapeutic landscape.
Dr. Polgreen’s research focuses on advancing new treatments and improving clinical understanding of rare genetic diseases, particularly the mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and osteopetrosis. She also leads long-term natural history studies that define how these rare diseases progress and how treatment success can be measured. Dr. Polgreen’s decade-long multicenter study of musculoskeletal disease in MPS established key outcome measures now used to design and evaluate emerging therapies.
This lecture will be held in person at The Lundquist Institute (1st Floor, MRL Auditorium) and online via Zoom. Click here to learn how you can join the lecture on Zoom.
