We are delighted to welcome Andrew Foster as a new member to The Lundquist Institute’s Board of Directors. Andrew brings deep experience in technology and strategy, along with a strong personal commitment to advancing biomedical research.
Bringing Expertise in Growth and Strategy
Andrew is a Partner at Boston Consulting Group, where he has helped some of the world’s leading technology companies grow and thrive. His specialty lies in helping organizations think through big strategic questions, including how to bring new innovations to market, set pricing strategy, and scale successfully. He has worked with companies at critical moments of transformation, often guiding them through major integrations or expansions.
Andrew is excited to engage with the Board and help shape commercialization opportunities and strategies, strengthen donor engagement, and apply his expertise in corporate finance to ensure sustainable use of resources. He will also draw on his background advising senior executives to support Board decision-making.
“Boards are where big-picture decisions get made,” Andrew shared. “I’m excited to bring my experience in framing choices and tradeoffs to The Lundquist Institute to help the institute manage through its next stage of growth.”
A Personal Connection to Our Mission
Andrew’s decision to join our Board is also deeply personal. In 2023, his father passed away from glioblastoma, an experience that reinforced his passion for biomedical advances and the importance of supporting research that changes lives.
“When I first connected with [CEO] Dr. Ramos and learned about his history as a glioblastoma researcher, I got goose bumps,” Andrew recalled. “It felt like the universe was winking at me. This was the right time, and the right way, to channel my energy and experiences into something meaningful.”
