Dr. Christopher Brown currently serves as the Primary Care Director at Los Angeles County Health Services. He supervises all primary care clinics, including the two participating primary care clinics in the CTN-0139 CO-CARE study (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Adult Primary Care and Lomita Family Medicine). Until 2024, he served as the Division Chief of General Internal Medicine, which provides several services in the hospital and associated clinics, including Adult Primary Care.
Prior to these roles, Dr. Brown served as the Associate Medical Director to the Adult Primary Care clinic, working closely with both the Medical Director as well as the immediate past Primary Care Director in the operations of Harbor’s Adult Primary Care Clinic. Throughout his time serving in these roles, he has also maintained direct patient care, serving as the primary care doctor for his patients. Since 2016, he has been the Medical Director for the Primary Care Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) clinic, a referral-based clinic focused on expanding access to medications for alcohol use disorder and opioid use disorders embedded in the Adult Primary Care clinic.
