Dr. Chung’s clinical research focuses on multimodality cardiovascular imaging in structural heart interventions, pulmonary embolism, and disparities in women’s cardiovascular care.

Biography

Dr. Jina Chung received an A.B. with Honors in Physics from Harvard University and an M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Boston University School of Medicine and a cardiovascular fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. Level 3 trained and board-certified in Cardiovascular MR, CT, and Echocardiography, she teaches advanced CT topics for physician training courses and serves as Director of Cardiovascular MR and Interventional Echo at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

As Co-Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team, she is actively involved in teaching and in research collaborations at both the regional and national levels. Dr. Chung was selected for the Sandra J. Lewis Mid-Career Women’s Leadership Institute at the American College of Cardiology and has since spearheaded multiple leadership programs for women physicians and industry leaders at both state and national ACC meetings.
