Dr. Uppuluri is an expert in fungal pathogenesis and host–pathogen interactions, with a focus on translational mechanisms and biofilm-associated infections. Her research integrates molecular genetics, immunology, and in vivo modeling to uncover novel therapeutic targets against drug-resistant Candida.

Biography

Dr. Priya Uppuluri holds a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and has completed her postdoctoral training at Duke University and the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is the recipient of multiple federal research grants and has served on national review panels, with several awards recognizing her scientific leadership and innovation. Her work is regularly featured at national and international conferences, and she contributes to the organization of major scientific meetings in her field. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and holds multiple patents in antifungal drug discovery and immunotherapy.
