Research Description

The current research focus of Dr. Waring's lab is the study of membrane protein-lipid interactions involved in antimicrobial host defense, pulmonary surfactant activity, and the fusion of enveloped viruses. These studies aim to provide a solid foundation for molecular therapies in diseases such as the respiratory distress syndrome, as well as bacterial, fungal and viral infections.
