Research Description
Dr. Rajfer’s research has spanned understanding important physiological processes in testicular descent, penile growth and development and in erectile function. His projects have included the study of:1. Testicular descent as an androgen mediated event via the hypothalamic pituitary axis.
2. Aspiration of sperm from the scrotal contents in tandem with artificial reproductive techniques capable of achieving a pregnancy.
3. Nitric oxide as the chemical mediator of penile erections.
4. The safety and efficacy of BOTOX for the treatment of premature ejaculation to see of botunlinum toxin can retard the early ejaculation of those men so afflicted.
