Mr. Kuc is responsible for all finance, accounting, audit, procurement and risk management functions. He is a key advisor to the board of directors and board committees (particularly the executive, investment, finance and audit committees) providing both strategic and hands-on leadership, with responsibility for financial strategy decisions, overseeing the organization’s budgeting process, financial modeling and analysis, accounting practices and procedures, and all borrowing, investing and cash management functions.
Prior to LA BioMed, Mr. Kuc was the Chief Financial Officer for Ceres, Inc., an agricultural biotechnology company, for the past eight years. He spent twelve years with Monsanto, holding a variety of financial management positions with the company in the US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico after starting his finance career at the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly in Canada. Mr. Kuc brings to LA BioMed a wealth of experience with financing, strategic financial management, and financial systems.
Mr. Kuc has a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Lodz, Poland and an MBA from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, Canada.
