Bullying and Violence Prevention in Children

Research Description

Dr. Shetgiri’s research focuses on bullying and violence prevention among children and adolescents. She is currently studying ways to prevent violence among Latino youth, the implementation of primary-care-based bullying and violence prevention strategies, and health outcomes for children exposed to violence and abuse. She conducts health services research and community-based research to address racial/ethnic disparities in child health and to improve the health of Latino children. She also collaborates on research to examine the impact of language and cultural issues on children’s health.
