Our Focus
The Translational Science and Population Health Innovation Hub closes the gap between discovery and delivery, ensuring that research findings translate into better care at the bedside and beyond. By uniting surgeons, physicians, researchers, and the communities they serve, we tackle the root causes of injury and illness. Recognizing that many of our clinician-researchers balance frontline patient care with limited protected research time, we aim to remove barriers through mentorship, grant-writing support, and a research ecosystem built to turn promising ideas into funded, life-changing work.

Why This Hub Exists
Too often, promising research does not reach patients and communities quickly enough. At the same time, clinicians with valuable ideas may lack the time, mentorship, or infrastructure needed to translate those ideas into meaningful improvements in care. We are determined to close these gaps. By connecting clinical expertise, research support, and community partnership, our hub advances practical, patient-centered solutions that strengthen healthcare delivery across the continuum of care. Our work helps move evidence into practice, equips clinicians to pursue impactful research, and ensures that patients and communities are active partners in shaping better health outcomes.
